The theme of gay BDSM and bondage conjure up a vast arena of sexual scenes to draw. I have done a lot of BDSM drawings because they offer a way to draw with high contrast lighting. Scene in this genre include torture chambers, prisons, dungeons, and crypts. All of these places and areas like them are imbued with darkness which make for great restrainment drawings. Tension is necessary for the creation of good bondage drawings because it makes the boys at your disposal. The theme of pain, cruelty and dominance are at the top of the list for BDSM because they bring out fear.

Generally many of the drawings and watercolors in this genre are dark and not filled with color and light. This is because color brings in cheer and hope which is the opposite of what is intendend for the victims in these restrainment drawings. Contour lines are the strong bold lines that make the outline of the figure because they offer form. In these drawings the lines are all very dark and pronounced because I want to bring out horror. Hatch lines are used for making shade and shadows because these make things erie. The hatch lines are crucial for backgrounds of prison cells, grave yards, and dungeons.
