Nude Male Standing Delineated
This naked man standing drawing shows the physique of a beautiful young man because he is young. His face is almost like that of an angel because he has a Roman Classical face. I started out on the drawing with a light pencil sketch, and you can still see the pencil lines in this finished rendering. I used contour lines to get the outline of his figure because they offer delineation. The contour lines are thin because I used India pen & ink. Ink lines are not thick and you have to go over them several time to make them bold. I do not like to do that because it makes the drawing look too “worked”. The best practice is to do it right the first time in this naked man standing drawing.
Angel Boy Hatched
The area behind his back is very dark so I have used a lot of hatch lines here because they offer perspective. Hatch lines are short quick lines that are used to make shade and shadows. In this naked man standing drawing I have used the hatch lines with care because of so much light shining on the boy. The hatch lines on his torso are very few compared to those behind his back in this naked man standing drawing.
