This is a pen & ink figure drawing of three gay naked men engaged in a struggle.
I have named this drawing “The Iconic Struggle”. My reasoning for this is to show the Freudian understanding of the power of sex. Dominance and sex go hand in hand as one male does all that he can to dominate another.
The theme of the struggle for sex and domination over others is a the from all ages because it offers adventure. Like sports, the struggle for domination and victory is the key to the challenge because the prize is life itself. Here is this iconic struggle we see three very handsome men giving us what we all really want, which is sex.
Naked Men Delineated
In the “Iconic Struggle” the delineation is superb. Most of the work has been done with hatched and crossed hatched lines of pen & ink. The contour lines are suggested rather than delineated.
