Hatched lines are used to make shade and shadows in a drawing. To make a good drawing it is best to use both hatched lines along with contour lines because they work together. In this drawing there are very few hatched lines because I chose to make the line work simple. In this naked man drawing I did not want to create a drawing with a lot of line work in it. However, I did need some hatching, so I put some in. You can see that under the young man’s neck there are a few hatch lines. The same is for the area under his arms and rib cage in this naked man sitting drawing. There are not many hatched lines in this naked man sitting drawing, but they are here.
